It can also be said that carbon steel valves include cast steel valves. From the perspective of casting methods, carbon steel valves can be divided into cast steel valves and forged steel valves, which are manufactured using casting and forging methods respectively.

Forging is plastic forming, while casting is a one-time molding process in which liquid metal is introduced into a mold. Compared to casting, forging is relatively better because the forging process does not produce seven holes or magazines, but the cost is relatively high.
